The ultimate purpose of student transportation services in the Emery County School District is to provide children with safe transportation to and from school in the most efficient and cost-effective means possible. The Board recognizes its obligation to provide safe and efficient transportation to and from school-related activities, including field trips, athletic trips and other approved outings as far as resources will allow.
Summer use of school buses shall be limited to those student organizations whose program or season extends into or through the Summer months (cheerleading, drill team, marching band, FFA, etc). Use of buses during the Summer months for these groups shall be limited to approved activities which are part of the regular program for their organization.
Exceptions to this policy are required to have Board approval.
