Emery County School District
Policy: IHD - Adult Education Programs
Date Adopted: 20 April 1988
Current Review / Revision: 17 June 1998
The Board recognizes that education is a lifelong process. Therefore, programs will be offered which meet the intellectual, social, vocational and recreational needs of adults.
In an effort to meet the needs of the adults in the community, the Board will appoint a member of the staff to coordinate the program. The coordinator will be charged with the responsibility of recommending to the Superintendent policies and programs for the effective operation of the adult school.
The adult education program will be administered by the Superintendent or his designee and will be supported by a combination of state and federal aid and minimal fees. State aid will be requested for all courses for which the state offers such aid.
